Night Realm

And it turns out, I have a crap load of it. As a latent power awakens deep inside of me, I'm exposed to one of the most powerful and corrupt organizations in the magical world - the Mages' Guild. Barely knowing a spell from a few swear words and luck, I won't be able to evade them alone. And that's when I meet him. Clio has the rare ability to mimic magic. Sent on a mission to steal spells from the most dangerous family in the Underworld, she ends up stealing something else: As a nymph living in exile among humans, Clio has picked up all sorts of unique survival skills.

But pilfering magic from the Underworld's deadliest spell weavers? Conning her way into the Underworld may have gone pretty well, but now she's got a new problem. His name is Lyre, and he's a sinfully alluring incubus, a skilled spell weaver, and the only thing standing between her and stealing some damn magic.

Maneuvering around him without blowing her cover shouldn't be that difficult, but chaos has been dogging her every step. Monsters hide behind beautiful face, and Lyre keeps saving her neck even though they're enemies. Either way, her mission is getting complicated fast, and in the Underworld, even one mistake could prove fatal.

As an avid reader I've read hundreds of good books. All of Annette Marie's books are levels above just good books. I recommend them to everyone who wants to lose themselves in a different world.

The Night Realm · Annette Marie · Könyv · Moly

Her descriptions are vivid, the magic is enthralling, the characters have heart and are easy to connect with, and there's never a shortage of evil that needs to be stopped. This book is more than worth your credit and time! I couldn't stop listening! The characters are complex and interesting. The plotline hooks so well. I recommend this series if you haven't already read it! I read the Steel and Stone series first before reading The Spell Weaver's series and enjoyed the spin off, loving the Lyre character and wanting to know more about him. I read each and every book of the Steel and Stone series, but have to admit I skipped the 2nd book in this series, The Shadow Weave.

My reasoning for doing this is because I did not want to go through the same exact type of angst as in the Blood and Stone series Piper and Ash over whether Clio really loved Lyre or not. Come on, you know she knows she does. Didn't feel like going through a whole book while she decided what we all already know. Starting was a bit slow but it picked up in momentum.

Clio sounds very young in character but she shows more maturity in the later part of the story. The only spoiler I feel is I would have preferred the narrator be one instead of two. Both are good but the voices of the individual characters, like for males and females differ when read by the narrators. Other than that the series is good. But the whiney and helpless attitude of the main character gets really irritating really quick.

Three Mages and a Margarita

I have already read the entire series but couldn't help wanting to listen to it too. The narrators did a wonderful job and coupled with the brilliant writing of Annette Marie, you will not be disappointed. I am an unabashed fantasy lover. I am a sucker for a good story. I like having the two narrators. Expected some interesting characters and world building; I instead got a goofy teen romance novel. I am also a big Fan of the male reader and love any books he reads. I'm excited to read the next one. Anette Marie has become one of my favorite authors. This new book is just as good as the first series I read by her.

I can't wait for more. The readers were good as well they kept me entranced so much so I finished listening to the book in just two afternoons at work. Come with me, Clio. Ariose's lip curled when he saw Lyre holding the envoy in his arms. With a warning expression, he mouthed a few words. He couldn't afford to lose his head and do something stupid. Like see how much he could really make her blush. The thing is, he's no longer sure he can survive it either. Dark Owl Fantasy , I'll be uselessly serving potato stew for the rest of my life because I can't make anything grow.

But starvation brews rebellion. When the king strikes, I'm captured by Lord Irrik. Instantly, I'm embroiled in a deadly game. One where I'm desperate to understand the rules. Sawyer Matthews has become a master at doing awful things with good intentions, terrible things for the sake of those who need her.

She's long given up on being the hero, trying to find peace in no longer being the villain. When her past comes back and she finds herself caught by the International Magi Police Organization, she'll have to revisit her own personal hells and finally confront the very monster that made her what she is. The very monster that has already killed her once before. Tori King is a normal senior in high school.

Head over heels in love with her childhood sweetheart, she is busy making plans for college when a chance encounter with an alien bounty hunter turns her world upside down. Now she's experiencing terrifying changes and developing supernatural abilities that leave her questioning her entire existence. Saiya Buchanan is a wraith, able to detach her shadow from her body and send it off to do her bidding.

But, unlike most of her kin, Saiya doesn't deal in death. Instead, she trades secrets - and in the goblin besieged city of Stirling in Scotland, they're a highly prized commodity. It might just be, however, that the goblins have been hiding the greatest secret of them all. When Gabriel de Florinville, a Dark Elf, is sent as royal envoy into Stirling and takes her prisoner, Saiya is not only going to uncover the sinister truth. You'd think that basically being in charge of love would be an epic job, right?

Sure, I can blow some Lust into people's faces and watch the show, but I can't actually participate. It gets old, trust me. Same goes for love. I can pass it out like sugar-free lollipops at a dentist's office, but I can't get any love for myself.

The Night Realm

I used to consider myself a hopeless romantic, so why wouldn't I choose to become a cupid? Sounds like a good idea, right? They don't call us stupid cupids for nothing. Nevada Baylor is faced with the most challenging case of her detective career - a suicide mission to bring in a suspect in a volatile situation. Nevada isn't sure she has the chops. Her quarry is a Prime, the highest rank of magic user, who can set anyone and anything on fire. Then she's kidnapped by Connor "Mad" Rogan - a darkly tempting billionaire with equally devastating powers. Clio has the rare ability to mimic magic.
