WHD Quiet Practice Cymbals review | MusicRadar
The time now is Fritz Frigursson Senior Member. Milan, Italy EU Posts: Real differences between quiet cymbals On the market for quiet cymbals. Can't stand rubber cymbals on my ekit so I'm moving to an acoustic kit with silentstrokes and silent cymbals. There are 3 main contenders: A set of 13" hats and 18" ride is euros around here.
SABIAN QTPC503 - QUIET TONE SILENT CYMBALS SET 14 - 16 - 20"
They were also the first to come out and start the silent cymbals game. They have short sustain and a sanded finish. Don't really like the looks too much. Sabians are relatively new, and promise to deliver a more defined bell sound.
Low Volume Cymbal Set
They're silver and have a "brilliant" finish, which I really like. Pricing is quite similar to the Zildjians. Millenium is a low budget brand of Thomann Musikhaus. The cheapest of the bunch, a pack of 4 cymbals costs euros. Similar finish as the Sabian but it's Nickel not alloy. Are there difference in sound cancelling or is it just a matter of brands? I'd go for the Milleniums because they're the cheapeet and I can use the other cymbals later when I get more stands.
