Venice-born Vitturi arrived in London nine years ago, having graduated in photography and design in Rome in and served a creative apprenticeship with Fabrica, the famous Benetton-funded communications research centre in Treviso. In their art works they explore the material nature of our world and how we experience it through the lens of science and technology, questioning how they mediate our experiences.

In this lecture, Michael Bracewell will offer a consideration of cultural studies in relation to creative writing, belles lettres , contemporary art, pop, modern history and autobiography.
